The Dark Knight Rises game now in Google Play

tdkr
One of the year’s most anticipated films, The Dark Knight Rises, launches today. In connection with the conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s dark Batman trilogy, a mobile game has been released for Android 2.2 and higher devices.
The Dark Knight Rises: The Mobile Game is an action adventure title in which players take on the role of a long gone Bruce Wayne who once again finds Gotham in disarray. He puts back on his Batman suit and heads out on missions to fight crime and help restore order to the city.
Produced by Gameloft, Dark Knight features many weapons and vehicles that aide Batman in his quest to save Gotham. Players can utilize that arsenal as well as master many fighting moves in hand-to-hand combat. Different situations will call for different tactics as players complete missions and side journeys as they work to take down Bane.
Dark Knight Rises is available for $6.99 in Google Play. I’d love to give you my impression of the game, but it’s not compatible with any of the seven devices currently in my house. That’s right, Gameloft has once again managed to create a game that I somehow cannot play despite having multiple devices available for testing. If you’re one of the lucky few who manage to get the game loaded on your phone or tablet, please let me know if it’s any good.

Auto Data Version 1.1

Okay created a simple app for my own use that i'm not yet sure if it will extend battery life since I just finished it today and will do the testing tomorrow!

What It Does?
- If your display screen is off, it toggles the mobile data to turn on/off every 5mins.
- As I have yet to do actual field testing I'm not sure if it will extend or drain the battery! - Well at least that was my idea

Why Create This App?
- I'm looking for a way to extend battery life of my phone (HTC ONE X) without me having to turn on and off the mobile data manually since I have unlimited mobile data.

Bugs?
- I'm not yet sure if there are any yet

How Can You Help?
- I need testers to test the app. I have a little programming background knowledge but I know logic, so don't expect too much if you have suggestions / comments or if you find bugs.
- I need good icons that I can use for the app (any graphic artists out there?)

Disclaimer
- By installing and trying this application, I take no responsibility on what it does to your phone. Please use this at your own risk! If you do not accept this then please don't try this application.

- As this application has been developed for my own use since I have unlimited mobile data, if you do not have unlimited mobile data then I suggest you do not use this application since it automatically turns on and turns off your mobile data.

Usage:
Connect your device in Fastboot mode (for fastboot flasher) or in Debugging mode (for ADB flasher and Boot animation changer) and start the program.

This is an alpha application and may contains bugs like it won't show errors, you have to determine them by looking at shell output, but if you have connected device properly and have drivers installed, you won't run into problems!
This might not work on Windows Xp,You might need to install NET framework 4.0 or higher to make it work.

[GUIDE]Changing Jellybean's Lockscreen Slider Color

Very Quick tutorial on changing the lockscreen slider color.

Requirements
  • Photoshop or Gimp.
  • 7zip
Using a file explorer, copy framework-res.apk from /system/framework to your sdcard.
Mount your Kindle and copy the framework-res.apk to a safe location and extract it.
Find the following photo's.

In the drawable-sw600dp-mdpi folder:
  • ic_lockscreen_handle_normal.png
    ic_lockscreen_handle_pressed.png
    unlock_default.png
    unlock_halo.png
    unlock_ring.png
    unlock_wave.png

In the drawable-mdpi folder:
  • ic_lockscreen_camera_activated.png
    ic_lockscreen_camera_normal.png
    ic_lockscreen_glowdot.png
    ic_lockscreen_handle_pressed.png
    ic_lockscreen_ime.png
    ic_lockscreen_lock_normal.png
    ic_lockscreen_lock_pressed.png
    ic_lockscreen_unlock_activated.png
    ic_lockscreen_unlock_normal.png

Now edit the colors of these pictures.
*Tips*
  • If you can't add adjustments to the picture, make sure the picture mode is RGB Color, not Indexed Color or Grayscale.
  • To change the color, change the brightness all the way down until it is black. Then go to gradient map and select a color. Then select color balance or Hue/Saturation and change the color.

Now save the edited pictures and save to a safe location.
Now mount your sdcard and find framework-res.apk
Right click, select 7zip, and select open archive. Then replace the original pictures with the ones you edited.(What I do is delete the res folder and replace it with my own) Now, using root explorer, copy the edited framework-res to /system. Then change the permissions to rw-r-r and then move to /system/framework and let it replace the previous one. Reboot and the changes will be made.
I guess you could also not only change the color, but also the image if you wanted to. I'll try it later today.
Enjoy!

Nearly Universal Root Methods for Most ICS Phones

Having root access on your device is usually key to enjoying the vast development available here on XDA. Unfortunately, updating stock firmware usually means kissing goodbye to root access. This is not the end of SuperUser permissions, but merely another step in the rooting process. Although new firmware seemingly revokes your right to root, your custom recovery almost always remains intact.
For those of you needing to root your latest firmware and still have a functional custom recovery, XDA Senior Member Phil3759 has started a universal guide to rooting nearly all devices running ICS. What started as simple guide for Samsung Galaxy S2 owners to achieve root without the need for custom kernels has grown to include various root methods that span across many devices. The guide also includes different versions of SU and Odin to suit individual needs.
If your latest firmware has taken away your beloved root access,  head over to the original thread and give these methods a shot.
